The Town of Collingwood is at the centre of Ontario's premium vacation area, a true four seasons destination. Not far from the large population centres of southern Ontario, the Joseph Lawrence House B&B is centrally located in the Town of Collingwood, mere minutes by car from the neighbouring towns of the Town of Blue Mountain, Thornbury, Meaford, and Wasaga Beach. Nearby is Blue Mountain Resort, many challenging ski runs, the Scenic Caves, Le Scandinave Spa and the magnificant sandy beach and provincial park in Wasaga Beach. A short stroll from the Joseph Lawrence House B&B down the main street of Collingwood leads to the many fine shops and fabulous restaurants amid the preserved and protected buildings of the Heritage Conservation District. 

Choose from several tastefully decorated Guest Bedrooms, or the luxury of a spacious three room Suite. All have high quality linens, and sparkling ensuites. Several have a cozy fireplace. Choose from queen, twin or king size beds. Each room is furnished to accommodate two people only, and is decorated to reflect the warmth and charm of the Victorian era.

Enjoy the cozy guest parlour with it's fireplace, library, TV and DVD, or relax on the lovely covered Victorian verandah overlooking extensive English gardens. Enjoy elegant antique furniture and a substantial gourmet breakfast in our guest dining room. Try fresh baked goods from our kitchen, preserves, gourmet fair trade organically grown coffee from the Creemore Coffee Company, an extensive selection of fine teas, and mouth watering hot entreés.

Lawrence, an early settler in the pioneer community of Hurontario Mills at the mouth of the Pretty River, and the the first Clerk of the Town of Collingwood when it was incorporated in 1858. The red and buff brick front addition was completed in 1877 by Thomas and Elizabeth Fair, prominent merchants in this early community of Upper Canada. Now this restored and renovated Designated Heritage Building with its antique furnishings and vintage lighting invites you to visit and to enjoy the Victorian charm and cozy elegance from the early days of prosperity in old Collingwood.
